As Philippine Volcano Belches Ash And Lava, Authorities Warn Of New Eruption

A yellow butterfly flies above a house covered by ash from the Taal volcano in the town of Agoncillo in Batangas City on Monday.

Authorities said they feared the possibility of an event similar to the massive 1991 eruption of Mt. Pinatubo, which killed hundreds and blanketed large swaths of the countryside in thick ash.
