Trump’s Meeting In Paris To Commemorate End of World War I Starts With A Spat

President Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron spoke inside the Élysée Palace in Paris on Saturday. Trump is joining other world leaders to mark the end of World War I a century ago.

Before a meeting of world leaders, meant to signal that tragedies of the war are long past, the presidents had a rough start. Trump called Macron’s proposal for a European military “insulting.”
